What’s a Woozle?

In The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh, everyone’s favorite bear learns he should beware of Heffalumps and Woozles (a mispronunciation of elephants and weasels, of course).  Pooh helps his friends construct a trap to stop these unknown marauders, but he can’t let it go. His fears take hold, and increasingly menacing Heffalumps and Woozles dance through his dreams.  When he wakes, he meanders through the forest, only to get caught in his own trap.  His friends come running to view their alarming captive, only to find they’ve all been duped.

But why a Woozle?
